"At a very basic level and perhaps (because of) something I can't describe, at least in two minutes, it's not something I'm ready to accept as a norm in our society," Seabrook said.
Zarelli said gay marriage will be the "second-greatest issue" in the 2005 session, following the budget. He pointed out that he voted to ban gay marriage in 1998.
