Olympia woman gets GOP endorsement
against Baird

Republican Christine Webb of Olympia, a last-minute filer for the 3rd Congressional District seat representing Southwest Washington, has won her party’s endorsement.
By a unanimous vote, the state GOP nominated her Saturday over Michael Delavar of Washougal as its choice to run against incumbent Democratic U.S. Rep. Brian Baird.

South Lewis County Chamber Director Gets Support from Winlock Mayor

A fund-raising effort is under way in the 3rd Congressional District to pay the election filing fee for Republican Christine Webb, director of the South Lewis County Chamber of Commerce.
U.S. Rep. Brian Baird, D-Wash., currently holds the seat and has filed for election to his sixth two-year term, along with his Republican opponent -- Horizon Airlines pilot Michael Delavar of Washougal.
The donations for Webb are being collected by Winlock Mayor Cy Meyers, a GOP committeeman representing the 3rd District for the Washington State Republicans. Meyers said Webb is a strong candidate but that Delavar isn’t as familiar to him.
