I believe in our public school system.  Graduates of our public schools should be prepared for life and career.  Excellent schools are essential to the economic health and vitality of our communities.  The focus and direction of our Vancouver School District needs to serve our students through programs and curriculum that prepare our students for their future – which is the future of our community.  I have 3 daughters who have graduated from Vancouver schools and 1 daughter who currently attends Columbia River High School.  My wife is a teacher in the Vancouver School District.  From my perspective as a husband, father, business manager, and community member I want to help plot the course of the Vancouver School District as it continues to navigate in the direction that is in agreement with the teachers, students, parents, and community members and their shared vision and hope for the future of our public schools.  I would like to see transparency and accountability continue to be a part of the activities of the school board as well as active participation with the community the school board is privileged to serve.

I am a Spokane, WA native, who enjoyed spending summers working for a local Vancouver company until moving to Vancouver after graduation from high school in 1985.  I currently serve as Landscape Maintenance Manager at Frontier Landscaping, Inc.  I have actively engaged in the Vancouver community through my participation in the Clark College Horticultural/Agricultural Advisory Committee 2007-Present; Washington Association of Landscape Professionals (WALP) – SW Chapter Secretary 2007, Community Service Committee Chair 2008,  Certified Landscape Technician – PLANET  Certification Program Judge 2004-Present; City of Vancouver Urban Forestry Committee “Think Before You Top” Campaign 2009.  I have volunteered as a coach for the Eisenhower Soccer Club for many years and I periodically serve in the Vancouver School District as a Classroom Volunteer – a privilege I have enjoyed since 1999.

Thanks for your interest and support in my campaign! I hope to earn your vote!
