Do you believe that a unique human life begins at conception? If not, when? Yes I do.

Do you believe that the state has a compelling interest in protecting human life beginning at conception? It is the State’s obligation to defend the right of human life from conception to natural death.

Is taking the life of a pre-born child through abortion ever morally permissible? Not that I can see.

Do you oppose federal funding for embryonic stem cell research or cloning?  I do for its potential healthcare benefits.

Do you oppose the availability of physician assisted suicide? I believe that suicide is a sin and therefore cannot support it.

Do you oppose laws that change the definition of marriage to include homosexual relationships? Yes.

Should doctors, nurses, and pharmacists have the right to refuse to participate in medical services that violate their moral, ethical, or religious beliefs? Yes.

Do you support only sex education that is wholesome and safe, not dehumanizing and pornographic? I would think that in this regard that wholesome and safe is the only way it should be taught. 

I answer your questions out of respect for you because you asked them and also because short of knowing me personally it is hard to define what a person’s beliefs are on these issues as it may point to who they are as a person. Although the issues of Skamania County are not the above mentioned issues and thank the Lord for that they are important and controversial.  Thank you for your interest in discovering what type of person it is that you will support.
