"What's your stance on abortion?

While this is a much more complex issue than abortion activists would admit, I believe that human life begins at conception, and that our laws should protect the lives of all human beings. The incumbent supports abortion in all cases, even partial birth abortion and receives a 100% rating from NARAL every year.

Do you support traditional marriage?

While the incumbent Senator supports gay marriage, I believe a marriage is a union between one man and one woman. That said, I also believe the government has no business telling gay couples or anyone else who, for instance, may visit them in the hospital or who can make decisions on their behalf. That’s not the government’s job or anyone else’s concern.

Where do you stand on stem cell research?

The science revolving around stem cell research is constantly evolving and hope there will soon be a viable alternative so that we may save lives. However, I do not support ending a life to save a life and oppose the extraction of new stem cells for such research. Patty Murray supports extracting new human embryos.

What are your thoughts on euthanasia and Washington State's "Death with Dignity" law?

I do not support euthanizing the terminally ill. It’s important to fund quality hospice care and ensure people can manage their pain but I draw a line at actively ending people’s lives."
