Survey Response:
Will you as
a city
council
member work
for public
policy that
promotes a
Consistent
Ethic of
Life and The
Common Good?
Yes. I
believe it
is the
government’s
role to
preserve the
principles
of life,
liberty, and
the pursuit
of happiness
which are
the
foundation
of this
great
nation.
Will you as
a city
councilor
appoint,
recommend or
request
(depending
on your
level of
authority)
only library
board
candidates
who oppose
the
inclusion of
pornography
in public
libraries,
whether by
internet or
printed
materials?
Absolutely,
I have
already been
to school
board
meetings in
opposition
of
pornographic
books in
school
libraries. I
have also
canvassed to
educate the
public on
this matter.
What is your
position on
public
libraries
hosting Drag
Queen Story
Hours?
I Oppose. I
do not
believe
taxpayers
should be
forced to
fund ideas
that go
against
their morals
and
religious
beliefs.
Will you
diligently
seek and
maintain
zoning
ordinances,
licensing
procedures,
permit
requirements
and
operational
regulations
which serve
to minimize
the adverse
secondary
effects of
Sexually-Oriented
Businesses?
Yes
What is your
position on
the legal
production,
processing
and sale
of recreational marijuana
in the
jurisdiction
of the
office you
are seeking?
This one is
hard because
it is legal,
businesses
have been
established,
and families
could be
hurt by
their lost
wages.
1 Peter 5:8
says, be
sober, be
vigilant;
because your
adversary
the devil,
as a roaring
lion,
walketh
about,
seeking whom
he may
devour.
But yet we
have alcohol
and
established
businesses
that sell
alcohol.
If this was
a
preventative
question, I
would
clearly
oppose it.
A solution
that comes
quickly to
mind is to
place
restrictions
on where
marijuana
businesses
can operate.
For example,
only outside
the city’s
boundaries.
We could
also place
restrictions
on how many
can be
located
within so
many square
miles or per
capita or we
don’t allow
anymore to
come and set
up shops in
our
community.
In
conclusion,
I fully
support
placing it
on the
ballot so
the citizens
can vote on
what THEY
want for
their local
community.
Given the
importance
of livable
and
affordable
neighborhoods
for the
city's
wellbeing,
is quality
city
planning
important to
you?
But of
course, this
is why I am
running for
Battle
Ground City
Council
Would you
apply Critical
Race Theory to
city zoning
to produce equitable demographic
outcomes?
No. I do not
judge a
person by
the content
of their
skin,
gender,
religion, or
sexuality. I
judge based
on the
content of
their works.
I believe
everyone is
equal and
therefore
should be
treated as
equals and
have the
same
opportunities.
Does a
unique human
life begins
at
conception?
Yes
Do you
believe that
the right to
life of the
unborn child
is
guaranteed
by the 14th
Amendment?
Yes
Is taking
the life of
a pre-born
child
through
abortion
ever morally permissible?
I believe
when you
make
abortion an
easily
accessible
solution,
you devalue
the purpose
behind why
God created
the loving
and
affectionate
act of sex,
and it
ultimately
hurts
society. We
need more
open
discussion
on the
negative
effects of
abortion.
Right now,
many only
see a
one-sided
narrative,
which shows
abortion as
the only
solution
when you do
not want
your baby.
In extreme
cases I
believe
there may be
cause for an
abortion and
only before
the fetal
heartbeat can
be detected.
For example,
to save the
mother's
life and
cases of
rape or
incest.
Should
Planned
Parenthood
be
contracted
with to make
community
presentations,
provide
literature,
birth
control
chemicals or
devices,
and/or
abortion
services?
No
Will you
work for
compassionate
solutions to
homelessness?
Yes
Are you an
active
member in a
church,
synagogue,
temple,
mosque or
other
religious
assembly?
I attend
Church on
the Rock and
Church of
Truth
Is the collaboration
of
government
with
faith-based
charitable
works good
for our
communities?
I believe
so.
What is your
position on
your city
council
instituting
(or
continuing)
a prayer at
the start of
the meeting?
I support.
