Survey Response:
PUBLIC
LIBRARY
PORNOGRAPHY
Answer:
Yes. I’ve
actively
advocated
against
pornography
in schools,
especially
Drag Queen
story hour.
While I
abhor
censorship
and
so-called
book
burning, I
believe
children
need
protection
through the
age of 17,
and their
values
should
primarily be
guided by
parents/families.
Schools need
to stay out
of sensitive
family value
areas, like
advanced
sexual
education.
REGULATION
OF SEXUALLY
ORIENTED
BUSINESSES
Answer:
Yes, I will
support
Clark County
zoning
ordinances
that keep
these
businesses
at
reasonable
distances
from areas
where
children
frequent,
and to limit
promiscuous
advertising.

HOMELESSNESS
(H)
Will you
work for
truly
compassionate
solutions
to homelessness?
Answer: Yes.
Further
Clarification:
I would
work for
compassionate
solutions
to
homelessness,
while
supporting
solutions
that
also
build
individual
accountability,
provide
consistency,
while
stopping
short of
enabling
habits
(e.g.,
needle
exchanges).
COVID-19
SHUTDOWNS
_____Yes,
Covid deaths
were reduced
with lower
infection
rates.
The negative
impacts on
society
(suicides,
delayed
medical
treatment
deaths, job
loss and
family
stress, no
school) are
of less
significance.
X
No,
the negative
impacts on
society
(suicides,
delayed
medical
treatment
deaths, job
loss and
family
stress, no
school) were
of greater
significance
than
additional
Covid deaths, due
to shorter
or no
shutdowns.

RELIGIOUS
COMMUNITY
CONTRIBUTIONS
Answer:
I practice
my faith at
home and in
the general
community. I
was brought
up in the 1st
Christian
Church of
Greeley,
Colorado,
and have
found
fellowship
now with
many other
community
groups,
including
the
Concerned
Christians
of Clark
County.
I am very
emboldened
by the
recent IRS
statement
and court
decision
that
churches can
endorse
political
candidates
without
threatening
their
non-profit
status – as
it was
before 1954,
and as it
should have
always been.

Answer:
The only
thing I know
is that
President
Trump
established
the
White House
Faith Office,
which I
think
absorbs the
work of the
Faith-based
office you
mention. I
am
unfamiliar
with the
value and
effectiveness
of this kind
of office.

Answer: I
have retired
from a
career
experience
as a
successful
engineer and
risk
management
consultant,
helping
customers
establish
business
controls for
billion-dollar,
first-of-a-kind
programs. My
understanding
of the
management
systems
needed to
develop and
run complex
organizations
and programs
will help me
contribute
to the
commission
and promote
the most
valuable
Charter
amendments.
Since
retiring, I
found myself
drawn to six
years of
activism at
state and
county
levels,
where I hope
to leverage
this
grassroots-level
of civics
experience
when
contributing
to the
Charter
Review
commission.
For any
election-related
topics, I’ll
bring my
experience
as a
Certified
Election
Observer and
Election
Integrity
Team member.
